ICON REMODELING was founded in 1991, with owner Vali Mahak bringing decades of construction management and remodeling experience.  The company has grown into a team of professionals, each experts in their field, who offer excellent, comprehensive service for all phases of remodeling.

OUR TEAM

Vali Mahak, owner. Vali is licensed as a general contractor in both Utah and California.  He graduated in Construction Management from Salt Lake Community College in 1990 and has decades of experience in both creative design and construction management. 

Vali has also worked in cinematography and is an outdoorsman skilled in mountaineering, mountain biking, hiking, and skiing.

Charlie Coltrain, Lead Carpenter, Estimator/Project Manager. Charlie has been with Icon for 15 years. He is a master back-country skier and loves to ride mountain bike all over Utah.

Nima Mahak: Designer and Office Manager, working with clients to turn ideas into comfortable, beautiful, and functional designs. BS in Economics, Westminster College 2005. When he is not working diligently in the office you'll find him up at Alta, skiing the deep stuff.

Chris Thralls: Carpenter. Chris brings a full career of remodeling experience and insight.  He is a master in Aikido and an exceptional mountaineer with climbing experience all over the world.
